Karl Wilhelm's dream - Theater phantasy with video art installation "for rest" at the Badisches Landesmuseum, Karlsruhe Palace, 15th - 23rd November 2014

Video documentation, 2014 (2.30 min.)

DESCRIPTION

A VR version of "for rest" is in development...

The motive of a staged forest is taken into an eight minute long video perfomance, which premiered at the Wolfgang-Rihm-Forum, in December 2015 and was staged again in January 2016.

End of 2014 in a collaboration with Pascal Paul-Harang an one and a half hour theater phantasy was created through theatric elements and video art.
On a virtual revolving stage sceneries are displayed with projections on two walls - especially using the corner. On this diagonally across stage all motifs move along the projection with a very slow rotation according to the rooms dimension. The fixed arrangements are constantly in change through the simulated rotating stage.

The sceneries are compositions made of „movable walls“, which are shifted against each other. Main motif is the forest in different moods and shapes in which the idea of the city of Karlsruhe as well as the palace have their „phantasmagoric“ origin.
